training alone (open to genin or academy students)

Grace sat atop the stone faces that lined the mountain facing out over the village she had come to respect, if not exactly love. she had very few friends and was still looked apun as an outcast by most and it did not surprise her. those in the village did not understand her abilities as they were unlike any others in the ninja world. she sighed and stood slowly and turned towards the forest behind her and went to the small training area in the trees that she had spent the morning setting up by transporting dummies.

it was a small clearing and not completely clear, trees dotted this area creating small obstacles to make it a little harder on her movements. she enjoyed the setting, high up and out of the cacophonous roar of the village which was easily heard in the training area inside it. this place held a serene feeling and a slight din of wind and animals alike in the distance that brought peace to her and allowed her to concentrate more.

she stood in the middle in meditation, or at least as close to the middle as possible next to one of the trees. 15 dummies had been set up, and not nearly all of them visable from where she stood. she had overheard of an ability while wandering the village as a squirrel to avoid notice and strange looks. the eight heavenly gates, they rang in her mind until she finally went to search them up, she asked to see the old archives reguarding jutsu, oh how she hated reading those books, they spoke of so much that she could not do and never would be able to do because of her chakra system. she was at least happy her chakra would allow her to walk on trees and water, however with much more difficulty then it should have been she had not yet been able to master either of those techniques. but what she stood here to do today was focus on the eight gates.

her body was fast and strong enough on its own having trained almost since birth in martial arts, and with the introduction to this system in her body called chakra it had increased an alarming amount making her fear her own capabilities for a time. she had been able to do things in her human form that most grown men in her clan could only do in a half bear form, she had come to know this as not so startling over the last few months and she had actually become stronger without the use of chakra. she had purchased a heavy set of weights but did not wear those today. her speed was now incredible for a normal genin matching easily that of a chunin, although had she been wearing those weights she would seem to lag behind.

her mind closed itself to the sweet sounds of the forest and her mind searched until she found it, located in the brain behind the right eyes, her mind focused on that point and sent a small surge of chakra to release that mental seal. her eyes shot open as a surge of power shot through her body as she felt her muscles flare. she moved her arm tenderly unsure f her capabilities now, she still kept the chakra flowing through her body to increase her basic endurance but she could feel the strain that heavy movements would put on her. she needed to keep herself aware and ready, because now was the test of her capabilities.

she ducked with the thought 15 feet to the lowest branch, I can normally reach half way there jumping strait up with the weights so maybe thirteen without, lets see what I can do now without weights and the first gate she crouched low and shot into the air high above the first branch. her eyes stayed calm although a rush of exhilaration shot through her, she had easily climbed 22 feet into the air and landed lightly on a branch crouching

She bound quickly from that branch higher and higher into the air until she was soon standing at the top of the tree, now in her half squirrel form so the treetop could support the weight, looking down at the ground far below and out onto the village even farther she smiled and dropped backwards into a dive for a few moments before flipping and landing in a low crouch on the ground bounding from tree to tree taking out the many dummies she had placed about the area.

cardboard and sand slowly quickly began to litter the area that she was training in and she stopped breathing heavily, the toll this technique took on her body was alot more then she had expected but not unbearable, she looked about the area in amazement, where the downfall was more than she expected the increase in speed and power was also much more then expected, she did not truly comprehend the abilities of this set of techniques but she knew it was right down her alley being restricted to only taijutsu in this new world she was thrust into.

she sat against the tree breathing slightly lighter her body relaxing again since she had released the technique "I've... got to learn to get used to that strain, I'll use the technique and just walk around with it once I get back to the village and my body cools down some" she spoke to herself in a low mutter as he body slowly shifted back to human form

Running Fast along the ground at incrdible speed not caring if trees were in the way. Lark Ran into a tree with great speed as he hit it the tree broke in half and he was off again at a Run. He was still not satisfied with his speed so he opened the first gate and Ran even faster darting inbetween trees with 1cm space of not slaming into it and blowing them apart. Lark came to an Opening where training Dummys where and what looked like a Half Squirrel half human thing on the ground turning back into a human. At that Lark closed the gate and slowed down to a walk as he entered the makeshift training area. "Um hello?" lark said with a half laugh half serious voice.

as she laid she heard a large crash and bound quickly to her feet like a coil, and as he burst into the area she was landing, she twisted reopening the first gate to go behind a near set of trees. she was still not used to having people accept her in that form and ran usually by instinct. she then realized he was not like the others and acting afraid, so she crept slowly out from behind the tree she had vanished to and bowed cautiously "hello there..." her body was tense and she had not released the first gate, she could tell from his movements he was trained as a shinobi but could not tell how well yet, but anything growing up in the village was more then she knew. her arms tensed as she readied to release the whips hidden there undetectable. she looked to the boy with an odd interest, why did he not yet run, was he interested or afraid or both?
