Kyuuketsuki (ikioi Ordoriko-'supposive vampire')

Flaw number one: Using Blood.

The more blood used and moved off track through the veins, the harder it is to focus, breathe, or/and even move. When using the blood, the body isn’t used to just automatically adjusting to blood loss, so the body is left to work with less. Less blood, less body use. Simple.

Flaw Number two: Bringing Blood Back.

Reeling back in the blood into its natural track. When returning blood back into the body, most of the time, blood is lost on the outside, therefore, the body becomes weaker. And along with the weak body, when bringing blood back into the body, often it is found difficult to pull in the blood all together. Too much is flooding the system, for the blood has to return from the same exit point, at the same time. The after effect could be swelling, temporal inner bruising and even collapsed veins at the reentry point.

Flaw Number Three: Chakra.

The chakra system is thin, threaded through out the vein system. Meaning, the ones caught with this Kekei Genkei are found incapable of controlling regular chakra manipulation. They lack the normal elements, so as they cannot complete jutsu. They are found only capable to use little chakra outside their blood jutsu, such as e and d ranks, but even the jounin of the clan cannot complete, for example, a b ranked fire jutsu or even a c ranked water jutsu. They are incapable of using c to s ranked element jutsu.

Flaw Number Four: Sunlight.

Sunlight causes issues for the clan members. For when they are outside in direct sunlight, such as midafternoon without an umbrella, their skin is burned. They are frail and fair skinned and the slightest bit of natural light tends to slowly scorch the unprotected skin. Their skin, also, does not simply burn. Direct sunlight can cause third degree burns in a temperature of 60 Degrees Ferinheight. Blistering, opened flesh, ash-resembled flesh have all been found when exposed to direct sunlight. And then there are their eyes. Their eyes are focused for the dark, they are nocturnal, therefore, they are incapable of sustaining a long period of bright lights. Their eyes will boil, blister and burn until blindness settles in if left unprotected for a long period of time. For protection, most of them wear black out shades or even revert to using their own head band over their eyes during the day.

Flaw Number Five: Drinking Blood.

The Kyuuketsuki do have to drink the blood of those outside their clan. Though this may seem suspected since many call them ‘vampire’, however, to them it is horrible. They have to be careful who they drink, for if they drink of the dead, they will be poisoned. Their genetically recalibrated system relies on fresh blood, blood still pumping from living veins. When the blood is dead for longer than an hour, it falls cold and begins decomposition. Blood sits in the veins, slowly falling to pieces and resembling fouling ranch when the nutrients and oils separate. Try drinking fouling ranch and not getting ill.

Then there’s the other fact according to dead blood. If the Kyuuketsuki drink of live blood until the donor dies, they slowly are killing themselves. For overdrinking of one donor at a time energizes their system too much. Imagine charging an un-automotive cell phone. The cell phone needs to be charged, however, being the fact it is not automotive, the cell phone is likely to fry its own system by overcharging if not pulled off the plug quick enough. The same happens to the Kyuuketsuki. If they overcharge by drinking too much, more than their age span pint count; their system will energize and turn itself to fuel-burn. Running every system the body has on overdrive to burn off the extra energy the body just cannot handle. And slowly, painfully, within two dreadful, agonizing hours, the body tears itself apart from the inside out.

Along with death by overdrinking, there’s death by not drinking. The clan members cannot possibly survive without blood as a normal person cannot live without eating. The longest any member has survived no feedings was four days. A feat definitely not recommended, for during the long days of ‘bravery’, his body was becoming ravenous, slowly taking over control of the mind. The body becomes frailer, weaker, and hungrier. And so, it reverts to the animalistic behavior, searching for the nutrient it demands for. Hunting against the minds will like the monster it wants to be. Attacking anything a heartbeat is heard out of and attempting to tear the skin off to shed the blood and feed. The Clan calls this: The Black Death. For that is what it is. The mind falls blank as the body over drinks and kills itself accidentally.

Then there is also, the fact of resistance.

It takes years to gain even the strength to resist open cuts. Most of the Clan Counsel, ages within 125-180, have taken their entire lives to control their lust to perfection where their blood lust runs under their control, not the other way around. And because of the simple complexity, the Council created an easy to follow scale:

If blood is revealed above a clan member’s limit, they tend to go into a range of three phases:

Phase One: Notice

The clan member catches the scent of blood in the air, almost animalistic-ally finding the source. Location found, the member, depending on limit, will either head onto phase two or ignore the fact.

Phase Two: Refusal.

The clan member enters a state of mind when the body is fighting pure will to refuse the blood. The mind knows it does not want to attack, usually; however, the body wants to feed. And so, reluctant stability occurs where most of the younger members are incapable of helping themselves when the body forces them to a closer view. Enticed by the flow and value and the memories of their personal ream, most may fall for phase three.

(Personal Realm- the feeling that arouses when drinking blood. Usually is pleasure, ecstasy or peace but is found to be any good feeling, just depends on the Kyuuketsuki)

Phase Three-Frenzy.

The clan member looses the mental battle between body and will power. Thus, the body rushes the blood in a blind madness, a fever for hunger, using all strength and will to reach and taste. Weapons are ignored at this point as well as any obstacle. All found upon the mind at this time is the arousing blood. The only found ways to get through to the Kyuuketsuki is to allow him or her to find a new blood and feed or to take them far away and out of reach of the blood.

Then, there is the fact of ability to eat.

The body of a Kyuuketsuki is frail when it comes to the digestive track. It can only take in the purest foods, untampered foods, easy to digest foods. And, so far found, the purest food is blood. It’s a clean substance that carries only clean fats, nutrients and proteins. And so, when a Kyuuketsuki ingests other properties of food, they are at risk of becoming very ill. A form of an allergic reaction occurs where the throat swells, reddens and seals itself shut. A healing process is usually the only cure, however, if medical assistance is not immediately applied, the individual is at a high risk of suffocating.

Flaw Number Six: Indestructibility Lies.

They are called Kyuuketsuki, meaning vampire, however the so called indestructibility of ‘vampire’ doesn’t exist for this clan. Yes, their skin is more molecule bonded and is capable to stand against blows ranging from 0lb/mph to 150lb/mph(Example: a fist of eight average pounds connected to the banded force of a 120 pound weight flying virtually through space at approximately 39mph)while able to stand against flint of wood ranging to two inch blade of steel, however their major weakness lies in iron. Iron is the makings of most preferred weapons besides steel, found in used for most ninja tools (Kunai, Shuurikan, senbon, etc..) and for some unknown reason, iron breaks the Clan’s skin like butter, their flesh like pancake. And not only that, the chemical imbalance iron metalloid creates to their flesh begins a form of combustion. The blood reacts to the iron’s ionic bonding in such a way that a flame is built up, combustion and the body begins to burn itself slowly from the marked area outward. Though, there is the way to stop the combustion by severing off the entire area struck by the iron, however most wounds follow a scale of 1in:60min.EBC (Entire Body Combustion). Example: six inch wound, fifty four minute count down.

Flaw Number Seven: Immortal Failure.

The Kyuuketsuki seem to live immortal lives, however this is proved wrong. The clan members’ life span only exceeds the normal life span, 90 to 100 years, by one hundred years; they live 175 to 200 years. This is because their body’s blood cells age slowly. One blood cell splits only once to a four day period. The blood of others provides all their body needs to continue living, nutrients, proteins, the works. Pretty much working for the body of the Kyuuketsuki. Therefore, the body of a Kyuuketsuki ages slowly, growing through the years of life slower, longer than the normal. They do not live forever; they live just a life longer.

Flaw Number Eight: Side Effects.

One of the major side effects are found when it comes to off spring. When most of all the normal people of the world are having three, four, even eight children, the Kyuuketsuki clan hides their shame under their dark cloaks. The Kyuuketsuki lost their ability to having many offspring - left to only one offspring at a time per woman. The genetic codes enlisted in the females of the clan have been permanently tampered. When a woman in the Kyuuketsuki clan has a child, having a child in itself is a big risk to the mother and the child. The womb is literary as thin as 21 sheets of paper, and because of the tenderness, the Mother is at risk to lose the baby and it is not an easy moment. If she is touched too hard, pushed, rushed, the womb could easily break, releasing all the fluids, the baby, and blood all into the mother. The baby would die and most of the time, the mother follows. This risk is usually not what all of the members want to risk, though some are still braver than others. Even though it does mean when a baby actually makes it through the birthing process that the womb collapses and there’s no second chances.

Along with, it is genetically impossible for any Kyuuketsuki to bear the offspring of others. Their DNA can only handle their own, meaning the Kyuuketsuki are inbreeds. (This does not mean male Kyuuketsuki can have their own children with others, it goes for both genders)

Positive number 1: Beauty.

The body of a Kyuuketsuki is beautiful. But only because their genetic code was refigured to be as such. They were configured to be gorgeous, eye catchers to easily appeal to their prey and draw them nearer for a better look.

• Bright crystalline eyes that, when the shadows and moonlight hit just right, rainbows of color burst into view, creating a mesmerizing pair of eyes with crystalline fractures that appeal to the look
• Plump lips that bare the shades of either deep reds or light violet blues. Not quite a dead purple, but not quite a healthy pink.
• High cheek bones on a thin face
• Long, glossy black and white streaked hair that seems angelic in the moonlight
• Tall, thin body with clean and crisp tones of muscle and almost too perfect curves
• Pointed ears-impish not elfish- that are easily hidden away by their long hair
• Long sharp claw-like nails usually painted
• Pearly whites that are born perfected-no dentistry needed
• Sharp top row canine teeth –considered fangs- that are half an inch long, seemingly unappealing, however they fit perfectly in the face. (Only capable of penetrating bare, soft flesh such as under turned wrist, neck, etc.)

-Long black, sleeveless cloaks that have a hood attached and reach past the ankles.
-Dark glasses, dark cloth, or their headband wrapped around their eyes

-They tend to remove all of their day clothing off to enjoy the night time release
-Short cut off clothing spanning from hundreds of welcoming colors
-maybe fingerless gloves (depends on the Kyuuketsuki)

Positive Number 2: Strength.

The Kyuuketsuki are not over powerful like most have assumed through the whispers of rumors, however they are a bit stronger than average. To put into perspective:

This is possible because the muscle tissue in the Kyuuketsuki body is denser and more compact. It accumulates the strength from the pure energy the body survives on every day. Burning the pure energy gives more than enough energy to keep the body strong. Note: Their strength has nothing to do with chakra or healing, means simply when it comes to lifting heavy objects.

And because of their strength, their speed is slightly increased as well, though not as roughly.

Positive Number 3: Sight

The Kyuuketsuki are not able to see in sunlight for sunlight, because of their condition, is too harsh for their nocturnal eyes. Their pupils are large and can only shrink so small against the harsh lights of the sun. However, this does not mean they are blind. They are able to see at night, that is what their eyes were made for, clearly as others can see in the day. The moonlight isn’t as harsh to their eyes for it is only a reflection of the sun’s rays.

Positive Number 4: Hearing.

Their hearing is –because of their pointed, tall ears- better. They can hear almost as well as a bat- bats : 20Hz to 120,000KHz Kyuuketsuki : 20 Hz to 75,000Hz. Their hearing, to put into relativity, they can hear an average voice talking thirty feet away with relative understanding. If the person thirty feet away were saying, “Hey, how are you?” The Kyuuketsuki would be able to distinguish the sentence as, “Hey, how…you?” However, there poses a threat. If someone were literally standing right next to them screaming, a ring would appear in their ear for a while for their ears are quite sensitive to loud noises.

Positive Number 5: Sense of smell.

Their sense of smell isn’t any different than a normal person’s sense of smell except for the obvious fact of smelling blood. If blood appears within their Range, the most certainly will know it is there and are found capable of finding the blood through the smelliest of places. This is because blood carries its own specific scent that differs from anything else.

The Ikioi Ordoriko Clan has absolutely no clue when it had been established. They only contain the legends passed on for generations. Some say their ancestors emerged straight from hell itself, others argue a God had grown angry with their ancestors and cursed them. No matter how they became, their history begun to come together a few centuries ago.

War, battles, bloodshed, fear. All the usual corruption of the human nature came to play within the clan and against the clan. Many loved ones had been lost, many enemies taken down. The clan had been feared, for what other known clan contained the ability to manipulate their blood outside their body? Many called them vampires, monsters, and demons. Many of the clan hid in the shadows of large villages. For soon, the rumors spread. They spread and spread, until one day, The War of Bloody Tears.

The War of Bloody Tears is the most feared piece of history. Most have forgotten this piece of history, for many leaders had decided none of those who participated or knew about the war were not permitted to speak of it. However, for those that do know and tell their generations of its tale, cannot help but weep in secret.

It had been a wonderful evening, [a few centuries back], the clan had thought they had finally found a peaceful place where people would not harm them. Many still fear their shadows of the dangers that lurk outside this calming forest, however many have grown to learn what a smile really is. It has been a month since any attacks; many of the warriors have put down their swords into the Earth. Believing if the worst was to come, their luck would have been up days ago.

But then, right the night of our Full Moon Festival, the worst had come. And we were unprepared.

We were without hiding; our lands had been created open to freedom. So, they took us easily. Many had died. Many of the men were slaughtered. Many of the women thrown off the cliff. And the children...I just can’t write about....

After the night had been finished, me and my children still hide from the monsters that still lurk across the grounds. I overheard their title as they pinned their flag into our Earth. Ryoukei. The name caused shivers through my entire being.

Now, they never did find us. No, we were the lucky ones. They searched and searched the grounds for hours into the night, I held my children, incapable of resting as they did. Exhausted from the sounds of their cousins screams. We were the lucky ones. We were the lucky ones. –Excerpt from the deceased Yokoto

This was the journal entry, but this was the story old grandmothers tell their grandchildren to remind them of the strength their children once had. The stolen descendants were never found after that night, however there were whispers in the night of the children still out there. Maybe it was their ghosts, screaming for revenge. Maybe it was prophesy for what was to come, however, whatever the whispers were, all of the remaining descendents listen.

However, a century or two ago, there had been rumor of another battle. But the clan, it had just disappeared. No one knows where it went, no one heard from the members. They just fell out of the sky. Rumor was they had been taken, but everyone knows how rumors go. The last anyone knew, the clan hid in the midst of Kirigakure.

The people with long ears to hear the rumors of the disappearance of the Ikioi Ordoriko Clan know that the clan had never returned. The rumor lied. It took a couple years, however the Ikoi Ordoriko clan came back. Only, not in the same state as they had been in before.

The dark secrets after the War of Blood Tears was that many were killed, however many more had been taken by the enemies that infiltrated their lands. The people taken were put into bondage, kept like pets in the cages of a forgotten prison. There, they cried only to the shadows. There they screamed themselves to sleep. There, they begged for mercy to die. For what was happening when you were chosen by the guards was pure pain and horror

They were used as lab rats.

The Ryoukei Coven are twisted monsters. They had been looking to create THE weapon. The weapon that would completely destroy the weapon and would fall to their every whim. The Kyuuketsuki were the perfect lab rats.

Genetically manipulating their DNA, after many failures after failures, the Ryoukei finally came across what they have been searching for. They called it an antibiotic. The Ikioi Ordoriko, AKA the Kyuuketsuki, called it death in a syringe.

There were two hundred thirty two Ikioi Ordoriko that went in for the shot. Only one out of four survived. Fifty eight survived the night, and that night, their new genetics healing, they regained their strength and fled for the hills. Breaking out of their prison and running for their lives. However, new flaws accord along with new positives.

When morning came, it wasn’t pretty. They used to be allowed out into the sunlight. Now, twenty three of them died, burned to a crisp. Ashes before the afternoon came. They had been taken to a dessert. There was nowhere to hide but under the sand. When night came, they rushed for the closest city they could find to hide in the shadows. That city just turned out to be the Hidden Sand Village.

They lived among the Sand Villagers as shortly lived as they could. They knew that their enemies were after them. They also realized that if they stayed in a group, they would surely perish. And so, they separated into seven groups, considering each a family unit member. Five people a group, seven groups, they raced for the countries.

Years have passed and the separated clan have still had contact, however no contact with their enemies. Though, they were scared to let down their guard.

They’ve returned to the ninja life, even though many a times they have to work under the sun. They’ve found ways to keep to the shadows and many of their leaders find they are used best in the dark. Though, their clan name is still a mystery, as well as their unique kekei genkei. Their secrets are well kept and their lives rarely put under the spotlight. They hide from public view, for if they are caught by their enemies, it is possible they will be destroyed.

The annual Last Moon Festival of the Kyuuketsuki Clan was long lived throughout the night in the lands of Water. The clan had gathered and celebrated another year of safety. However, the night was not the safest. For when the ambush arrived, the leaves were not pretty.

It was a thick mixture, an antidote to their genetics, however, the purposive antidote is really their poison. Yes it cleans them of their regenerated genetics, nevertheless, it leaves their immune system fight less. Immediately any sort of bacteria or virus will attack their bodies and kill them. And that’s not the worst of it, when the antidote is in session the whole process is painful. Most who have witnessed this horrible experience have never forgotten to note: She/he begged me to kill them. They note that the experience feels like your body’s being ripped from the outside in and being filled in by fire and sludge and no matter how hard you try to stop the pain, more fills in the gap. The pain is unimaginable, excruciating, and unbearable. Every Kyuuketsuki knows of the effects of the antidote and even a thought of the purplish liquid causes the body to squirm. And, now that their enemies have acquired this weapon, the Kyuuketsuki hide among the shadows; never to show their true selves unless it at the upmost importance.

When the enemies attacked, many were killed. And the numbers of the Ryoukei weren’t decreased.

78 members of the enemy coven, the 234 members of the Kyuuketsuki saw no problem. But then, when the battle commenced, and 96 of their members were taken out, the Kyuuketsuki fled. They retreated to the hills and back to their countries. Another count of twenty four members were killed on the retreat, only 114 survived the night.

By the time the clan could pull together and regain their bearings, the enemy coven had already disappeared into the night. The clan knew they were out there, waiting until the day they would least expect them. But the clan was strong. It sent their members to work for their countries. To work and learn and be protected by the villages they lived in. However, as time went on, the clan wasn’t wrong. The enemy would show up every now and then within the villages. Striking down every Kyuuketsuki they could find. Usually it would be the ones walking the night streets alone. Other times it would two or maybe three tracked down and dragged out of their homes into the sun. None of the Kyuuketsuki knew when they would strike, but as time became today, the clan is still strong. Abiding to their laws and keeping safer distances from people as they live with their numbers of 118.

There are Seven Clan Counsel Leaders. No less, no more and all are chosen because of great accomplishments, servitude, and loyalty to and for the Clan. Also, because the clan is broken up into Seven Branches, there is one leader for every branch upon the counsel. One branch-One Leader deal. These leaders stand for the clan as the mediators, Law-makers, Disciplinary Enforcement, and symbolism. They are in charge of calling the clan meetings, organizing the clan festivals and dealing with upset Outsider Leaders against the clan. And, when the time comes, they are the first willing to defend the clan with their lives.

A Clan Counsel is replaced under only the circumstances of a death of one of the leaders, foul play, or abuse of power. When a Counsel is in need of replacing, the oldest ex-clan council calls all possible applicants for a test of wits, power, and loyalty. Usually only two or three applicants are called of a single branch.
The Branches

There are seven branches representing the seven groups broken up in history. Every group dwells in their own specific country. The following seven countries that the clan is found in are: Leaf, Sand, Earth, Waterfall, Water, Sound, and Rain. Along with, every branch ranks specific levels in the clan.

Sand, as respect for the fallen, is the highest class of the branches. They are treated as Royalty within the clan.

Leaf, most of the wisest and kindest of the clans fall out of these lands, are the just below the Sand. They are treated as royalty too, just not as much.

Water, the strongest and most dangerous of the clan, is the respected branch. There word falls in third, however there are few that would cross this branch.

Sound, the ‘soothsayers’ (they are nicknamed) or the ones most capable of telling truth from lie, is the middle class.

Earth, the calmest of the clan, are not as respected. They are part of the lower class.
Waterfall, the mysterious, are second to last, they are part of the lower class.
Rain, all are ranked the same, however they are the lowest of the branch. When at the meetings, they are more used as slaves than anything.

Law of Mate
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Mate, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations will submit themselves to breeding not with the outsider generations, insist friendships, or mingle questioningly. Those caught under the hand of unholy matrimony or earthly frolic will be hereby seen as a threat to the Clan, therefore enlisting themselves to giving up their ties and surrendering to Iron’s Death.

Law of Secret
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Secret, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations are charged to silence the secrets of the clan, including meetings, laws, happenings and such, from the ears of Outsiders. Disobedience falls to the hands of the Council, whom will, within bounds of investigation, trial and reason, deem the fair punishment of any of the Five Disciplinary Actions upon the guilty.

Law of Murder
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Murder, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations and Outsiders caught committing or assisting in the death of a clan member will be brought before the Council. The Council of Seven will, after investigation, trial and reason, be forced to put to death all found guilty.

Law of Blood
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Blood, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations will submit to their limit of blood. The result of The Black Death creates a risk the clan will not permit. Those caught risking this Law of Blood will immediately be sent to the Council of Seven to be relinquished of all ties and exiled from the clan.

Law of Battle
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Battle, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations, unless under instructional claim and witness by at least one willing testimony, are not permitted to fall into battle against another Ikioi Ordoriko Generation. Those caught within the heat of or about to attend battle will be brought before the Council of Seven, whom, within investigation, trial and reason, will be forced to send the guilty to a Controlled Containment within the House of their Branch Leader.

Law of Clan Meets
People of the Ikioi Ordoriko Generations have been here by called by the council of seven to live by the Law of Clan Meets, which, by consent of the Council of Seven for the safety of the generation, hereby states all generations, when called, are required to arrive on the assigned time and date. Those found to not abide by this Law of Clan Meets without reasonable reason(s) will be immediately sent to House Indulgence within the Household of their Branch Leader.

Warning- first minor count against a Law

House Indulgence- escorted to the Household of Branch Leader, the individual will be reminded of the Laws and history of their clan for the deemed time period instructed by the Council of Seven.

Controlled Containment- a secured cell within the Household of the Branch Leader, the individual will be reminded of the Laws and History of their clan and will not be permitted outside contact besides the Branch Leader for the time deemed by the Council of Seven.

Exile-Never to be returned to the Clan, the individual will be commanded never to contact one of the clan on terms of the Iron Death Punishment. The Council of Seven will also let the individual’s appearance and name be known throughout the clan along with the understandment of no contact on the terms of exaltation.

Iron Death- When an individual is counted for this punishment, they are allowed one weapon of choice and allowed to choose one opponent of the Council of Seven. If the individual is smitten three times, the Council is permitted to bind him/her and finish him/her off with the Seven Swords of Iron. If the individual manages to smite the Councilman three times, the individual is allowed the choice to walk free as an exile or accept the Iron Death Punishment.
