Weapons

Shobo
A shobo is a ring worn on the middle finger. A small notch of wood is attached to the ring, and its primary use is for hand-to-hand combat. The shobo is used to strike at the opponents pressure points inflicting very sharp pain and even temporary paralysis. It is easily hidden in the ninja's fists and were very lightweight and portable. The shobo is often unoticed by an opponent or guards, if noticed it is almost always dismissed as simple jewelry.

Ninjatō
The typical ninjatō carried by a ninja would most likely have been a wakizashi or shortsword fitted with a katana-length handle and placed in a katana-length saya (scabbard). This may have been used to deceive one's opponents into miscalculating how quickly it could be drawn, allowing one to use a battoujutsu strike faster than expected. It also disguises the weapon (that would easily identify them as a ninja) as a common sword. The extra space in the saya may also be used to store poisons.

Shuriken
The shuriken is a weapon that was barely ever used for throwing. It would be stuck into a wall or the ground to be used as a distraction, similar to Caltrops. Shuriken were often used coated with poison so when in direct combat with another the ninja could throw the shuriken and have a more substantial effect than the minor physical injury

Metsubushi
Tenchu carries small "bombs" called metsubushi (目潰し, "eye closers") which are filled with sand and metal dust. The bomb will explode releasing the sand and metal dust into the face of the victim blinding them. The bombs are concleaded in small bamboo segments.

Law and Order
Tenchu carries two curved blades on both of his thighs. The daggers are roughly 9 inches and 2 inches wide. Along both of the blades is kanji reading Law and Order on the respective blades. The scabbard and hilt of the blade is the same colour of his shinobi outfit designed to blend in. Most opponents will ignore the daggers allowing for them to be an unexpected threat. Law is coated in Nerve Breakdown poison, where as Order is coated in Tranquilizer poison.

Equipment

Ashiaro
Other forms of trickery were said to be used for escaping and combat. Ashiaro are wooden pads attached to the ninja's tabi (thick socks with a separate "toe" for bigger toe; used with sandals). The ashiaro would be carved to look like an animal's paw, or a child's foot, allowing the ninja to leave tracks that most likely would not be noticed.

Range Finder
The range finder is wore over Tenchu's right eye. The range finder can function both as binoculars and as a means to measure the distance to a target. This allows for Tenchu to spy on his target from a distance and plan a root in.

Clothing
He wears a tradional shinobi outfit. Wearing loose fitting dark green shirt and trousers, underneath shirt he wears light chainmail and lightweight metal pauldrons hidden by the shirt. Covering both his shins, forearms, hands and feet are lightweight metal guards. The armor on this hands does not provide protection past his knuckles as Tenchu wears a shobo on each of his middle fingers.

Poison

Nerve Breakdown
This poisons is designed to affect the nervous system of the target. Once into the body it moves quickly into the bodies nervous system disrupting it and slowing down reaction time. This can be crucial in assinations and the key to effectively using some of Tenchu's techniques. A small graze would make the poison last one post. A deep gash would last 3 posts, and finally a full blown stab would last 5 posts.

Tranquilizer
This second poison is a substance that also affects the central nervous system, depressing it resulting in different levels of relaxation. In small doses Tenchu can relax the target and induce mild sleepiness. However the one used in battle is a far stronger inducing slurred speech, staggering gait and poor judgement. A small graze would make the poison last one post. A deep gash would last 3 posts, and finally a full blown stab would last 5 posts.

For Shobo, how long may the temporary paralysis last? Realize that the only place on the body that could be used to paralyze the whole body by way of pressure point or nerve is the brain stem, so most likely it would be just a body part.

Limited movement for one post. Cannot attack effectively. So like a half stun.
