• Basic Character Information

Name: Idate Kobayashi

Age: 11

Gender: Male

Clan: Legendary Kobayashi

• Looks: Idate has short messy strawberry blonde hair with a strong reddish tint, his rigid bangs often are a bother in his training. 4'9 in height. He has soft hazel-green eyes and a tanned complexion. Idate is always seen wearing the robes of the Kobayashi, white with blood red flower petals scattered about, the cresent moon symbol on the back in red as well. Instead of regular ninja sandals, he wears wodden clogs. Silver cat ears adorn his head and a long thin silver tail pokes out beneath his robes. Thin, bold red whisker-markings dawn his cheeks, hips, wrists, and ankles. Like all members of the Kobayashi Clan, he has the cresent moon birthmark in the center of his forehead colored in deep bold blood red.

Idate carries a large shuriken on his back and a pair of red nunchuckes in his right hand. Around his neck, hangs one of the five Kobayashi Clan tracking necklaces given to him by Sakuya at his birth, a year before the slaughtering of their clan. His weapon pouch is tied around his waist and also holds a small old color faded picture of his sister in her childhood years.

• Personality: Idate acts of his royal blood, a highly respected leader. Kind toward everyone, he is nothing like his father or his newly-tranformed sister. Idate is always seen with a sheepish grin and has a tendency to act like a hyperactive goofball on occasions. The boy refuses to fight if necessary, seeing as fighting only brings violence and hatred.

When alone, Idate searches the nearby countries for his sister with only his one photo to go on, as well as the stories from his guards and maiden ladies at the Manor. Driven by fear from his re-occuring nightmares, the boy trains his hardest each time he gets a chance. Dispite his care-free demeanor Idate is desperate to find the truth behind the reason for his sisters abandonment.


• Basic Clan Information

The Kobayashi Clan was full of mixed races, from full to half-breed to just human. Most Clans shunned the Kobayashi's because they felt they were 'dirty' or 'unpure' monsters. When in fact, it was the exact opposite. The Kobayashi's excepted many...Even Inuzuka and many Inu-demons into their lives. None were judged since, none had the right. They were kind, forgiving, and passionate people..Except in the case of battle.
Since the many years after the massacre, Idate and his sister Sakuya are the only ones left...Besides a remaining few, the ones who are left have either left to a different village or made the transition to another clan. The only evidence of their original clan, is the birthmark of the cresent moon on their forehead. His sister did not make it a known fact that she had a brother, for fear Idate would get slaughtered as well, so she has left him with some trusted allies back in Moon.

• Special Characteristics: Can communicate with cats, if provoked can turn into a full-fledged neko demon, just like his sister. If his demon allows him to tap into its power, it gains him, undetectable means of travel, grace, ect. On the downside, his demon is a tad too powerful for his young mental and physical limits. Leaving him ill after a stressful battle, often with a high fever and sick to his stomach. The boy and his demon have formed a strong bond and vowed to protect eachother and their loved ones forever.

While using this technique, the ninja can rotate and strike from multiple angles.

On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts much mental strain on the inexperienced ninja.

• History: Idate was born into the royal Kobayashi Clan by Lord Zoku and one of his many mates, Sahira. Zoku appeared the perfect father and husband to the two, dispite his womanizing and drinking habits. Sahira had no knowledge of his first child Sakuya and as far as she knew, Idate was his only child.

Once Sakuya had heard she had a heathy normal sibling, she was very happy for her parents, though she had been told it wasnt her mothers. A few weeks went by and she was unable to contain her curiosity and overall excitement. That night, when all was still and unmoving, she snuck to the down hall bedchambers into the nursery. She laid by his cradle until dawn stroking his hair gently, whispering how beautiful and precious he was.
This became a habit for the girl, sneaking back and forth to see her brother for a full month.

It was a normal day for Sakuya, hiding out in the kitchen and avoiding her parents until night came. All seemed okay, nothing out of the ordinary until Zoku had spotted her moving about the halls and started to strangle her, her screams awoke Sahira. Zoku tried to explain in a calm reasoning how Sakuya had failed the Kobayashi's and about her disability but, Sahira started to hit at him as her anger rose. The Lord's temper flew and he ended up killing her without remorse, sparing Idate and his sister.

Fearing that Idate would be harmed, over the next few days Sakuya planned out how to help her newborn sibling escape. Knowing that her parents wouldnt notice her absence, she took her chance and traveled into her village, Idate in arms. Explaining what had happenened to some family friends, they gladly took the baby in. His sister didnt want to leave him, but she had to get back before her parents noticed Idate was missing. Placing a soft tender kiss on his cheek, she latched a Kobayashi Clan Tracking Necklace around his neck, mixing his blood with hers and closing the charm permanently.

• RP Sample: Idate stood at the gates of his village, looking overhead at the cloudless sky with glazed over eyes. Fists tightened at his sides enough to draw blood. The boy had been searching for over two years now, still no sign of her, his form shook with overwhelming frustration. " Where are you, Hime-sama? " Idate barely remembered her voice, let alone her appearance and the picture he had of her was of when she was still just a child. Robes ruffling in the breeze, he sighed in desperation, he wanted to meet his sister. Taking the necklace's charm in his hands, he tried to summon her once more. Nothing. Idate had to find his sister. " Why are you ignoring me?! " Hazel eyes turned a firey burnt orange as they filled to the brim with angry tears. ' She hates me..' he thought sadly as his large silver fuzzy ears flattened against his strawberry-blonde head. Do you ever shut up about her? his demon asked him, voice drenched in sarcasm. The boy's ears perked up as he took on a slightly shocked expression. ' You dont get it, do you? She abandoned me! ' The demon mocked the boy's pathetic attitue, Oh poor me! Im Idate, I want everyone to feel sorry for me because I want to be stupid and sulk around all day! Idate was silent. Oh for Kami's sake Idate! Sakuya didnt abandon you, she saved you. She's protecting you and Moon from being slaughtered..Just like your mother. Idate's eyes widened immensly as he felt his breathe catching in his throat. Looking down at the Tracking Necklace, he took the charm in his hand once more, his hand trembling. ' Lady Sakuya..'
