Interrogation!, Washi's Nightmare!

Hizashi awoke in the hospital then next day. What had happened?. His head was aching a bit. It seemed like a burning sensation. He grabbed his head strongly. He looked at his watch and realized it was around 5 AM. He was still tired.. really tired.. He slowly closed his eyes and fell asleep. As he was asleeped, he moved ferciously in his bed. He was having a nighmare.

A man stood in an office. Who was this man?. Hizashi didn't know. Hizashi stood on the side, it seemed like no one could see him. A man with a blue hat that symbolized "Kaze" sat in a chair, with the man infront of him.

"Is that...Washi...?" Hizashi asked himself as he gazed at the man.

"Kazekage.. You.. You knew about this didn't you..?" Washi had asked the man that was obviously the Kazekage of the Sand Village.

"Yes.. It was a neccesary sacrifice.. Washi..." The Kazekage replied to him.

Suddenly, everything rewined back and Hizashi was on his hospital bed

Hizashi woke Hyomaru up and told him to meet him in the ANBU HQ. He flickered towards the Headquarters. As soon as he got there, Hyomaru behind him.

"I.. I'm having.. Nightmares.. their not my nightmares though.. Their.. Their Washi's.. I don't know what's happening to me.. I.. I.. See him.. I feel as though i have his memory linked with mine!.." Hizashi said to Hyomaru, falling on the ground on his knees.

Hyomaru met up with Hiza in the ANBU HQ. He wasn't really paying attention at first, Hyo was playing a song in his head while pretending to listen to Hiza, nodding and saying yea at differetn intervals. Pain..... cant get enoug... rather feel pain- "What! You have washi's memories?" overreacted Hyomaru. He looked seriously at Hiza. This was huge, and Hyo didn't think Hiza realized it yet.

"So... you have all the memories of washi eh?" asked Hyomaru calmly.

Hizashi quickly got up and grabbed his head. He was having the same flash back again. He lookedat Hyomaru and grabbed him by the shoulders.

"You can help me.. Your a master with that interrogation jutsu.. I have yet to learn it.. Please.. Just help me.. I need you to check the entire memory he gave me, Don't remove it..!" Hizashi said to Hyomaru as he sat down on the interrogation chair.

Hyomaru looked bewildered, as Hiza, on his knees, grabbed Hyo's shoulders. Hyomaru immediatley, more out of amusment then instinct, back-handed Hiza across the face, the loud SMACK carrying around the room. "Get ahold of yourself dammit!" hissed Hyomaru, looking around wildly to see if anyone was looking. "... The heck man, if you expect me to help you, dont embarass me. Anyways my technique brings back memories to the victim's knoledge. Technically you never HAD the memory, so I cant bring it back"

"Luckily" said Hyo quickly at the look of Hiza's face, "You DREAMED about it, dreams are memories, it'll only work if you concentrate deeply on that dream, and nothing else." said Hyomaru as he placed his index and middle finger on Hiza's forhead. "Back to the Past Jutsu!" yelled Hyomaru. Though Hyomaru couldn't actually SEE the dream, Hiza could. "Can you see anything?" boomed Hyomaru's voice from nowhere, Hiza now in the dream-memory he had...

It was a sunny afternoon, the memory quite vivid and clear...back in Sunagakure, atleast 5 years ago...

"Washi-san! I finally got my first C-ranked mission!" said the girl as she ran towards Washi, her face beaming with happiness, "Finally, I can prove I'm just as good as you, eh, brother?"

"You've still got a long way to go," replied Washi calmly as he leant against the tree reading the book, "Just don't bother me. I'm studying jutsu."

"Your no fun! You won't even train me! "

"I'll train you next time, I promise."

Washi poked her in the forehead and walked away.

Flash. A change in scenary. A room, darkly lit. Two men sit opposite each other, each wearing noble clothes.

"We've been subjugated by the Kazekage for too long. You know this don't you Washi? The honour of our clan has always been oppressed, we've never been allowed to rise above the Kazekage's own clan, we've never been allowed to even have a candidate for the Kage position. This...this is unfair, don't you think," said an old man, clearly Washi's father.

"What are you saying...your not going to attempt something are you? That would only make this clan more pathetic than it already is. Out of all the other members of the Oda Clan, it is I who have been pressured, I who is supposed to represent us as the genius...if you want something done do it yourself," replied Washi as he begun to get up from his seat.

"-Wait, Washi, this will work....you forget, you are a high-ranked shinobi who everyone respects. In order for this revolt to succeed, I need you to assasinate the Kazekage, your the only one...the only one who can do it."

"Me? Who do you think I am old fool - your tool? I will do, what I want but I'm warning you father, do not make a mistake your only going to regret."

Washi stood up and left the room fuming.

Flash. Two men, sitting now in the Kazekage's office.

"This is what I have come to tell you, Kazekage-senpai. The Oda Clan are preparing a revolt, they feel they've been mistreated," relayed Washi as he sat sternly.

"And...do you think your clan has been mistreated, Washi?" asked the Kazekage politely.

"Perhaps but I care little for such political affairs. I just wish to be free, I feel like I'm an eagle constricted in a bird cage," said Washi calmly.

"Then leave the village. The Oda won't dare to cause civil war if their greatest shinobi becomes a missing-nin. You know this as well as I do, as it stands, your clan has only ever been declining in power," said the Kazekage musingly.

"No...that's the one thing I won't do. Leave this village? I don't think I'll ever leave this village. I'll stop this revolt in my own terms if you like but I won't leave this village," replied Washi.

"Stop opposing me, you know which is the easier option...leave this village and potentially save Sunagakure from a ninja war. Our enemies', Iwagakure and Kirigakure, will only take notice of the civil war and strike us when we're weak. Don't do everything by yourself, I'm warning you!" warned the Kazekage, standing up.

"Stop telling me what to do. Your just like my father, both of you are fools. I'm leaving," said Washi as he kept his anger undercontrol, his face showing no emotion, with one click, he body flickered out, fuming.

Another flash, white light illuminating everything....

"Washi-senpai. Urgent news!" said a boy as he ran into Washi, falling down.

"Eh, speak up!"

"Your sister...I'm sorry...your sister and her entire team has been reported MIA and most likely dead..."

"..."

"What happened. I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT HAPPEND," said Washi furiously as he walked into the Kazekage's office, pulling the door with force as he thumped his fists on the desk, "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED."

"Calm down, I've never you seen like this. Your always calm, showing no emotion, I dare say, sometimes even unbearably nice..."

"I don't understand...this was a C-ranked mission, how would her entire team be slaughtered. Don't underestimate my sister, I know her better than anybody in the village. There's no way she would be killed in an easy mission."

"Our intelligence seems to point that there were regular missing-nin raids on the traders who your sister's team were supposed to escort. I'm sorry, but we got the wrong information and gave it a C-rank."

"Wrong information? How can you mistake an A-rank mission for a C-rank mission? Even then, the missing-nin must've been powerful...to kill off her entire team...perhaps...perhaps it was a S-rank mission."

"Don't blame me, friend. These things happen, besides, your sister hasn't been confirmed to have died. We can't do anything about it.

"Kazekage.. You.. You knew about this didn't you..?" asked Washi frowning, he understood.

"It was a necessary sacrifice...Washi," replied the Kazekage, "You didn't obey me. Therefore another method must be used to stop the revolt. This will put your Clan back to where they belong."

"You...no...you thought deeper than this. You planned it, in fact, its all gone as you planned hasn't it. You know I'm going to leave this village now."

"Eh? I'm not quite as smart as you Washi but it was for the greater good. Thanks to you leaving, we will save lots of lives. Remember, the greater good."

"The greater good? Fine, its for the greater good! But atleast do something about it, I'll leave this village, just make sure my sister returns alive..."

"No-can-do..." grinned the Kazekage with an evil smirk, his face contorting into a monster-like figure...,"NO CAN DO, WASHI!"

Another flash, another memory.

Washi furiously flung open the door to his house and looked straight into his Father's eyes who was sitting on a stool. Washi was angry, especially after his talk with the elders. "This village...", He shouted, "This village is a complete waste of time, to think that they would abandon my sister and her teammates like that!". He banged his fist on the table and dust was thrown up into the air. His father however was silent.

"Surely you think so too?", he questioned his father, "That this village has become useless, helpless and weak!"
His father stood up and brushed away the dust on his noble white robes,
"You fool, your uproars have gone and humiliated us. Keep silent and act like an Oda. Your sister is gone and there is nothing you can do to save her," he said.
"Have you gone mad!?", Washi shouted back, "Your own daughter, she is your own daughter and here you are doing nothing about it. This village has become insane!"

"This village has not become insane my son. To think her death would have effected you in this way... Had you not seen death with your very eyes? Have you not killed the enemy with your bare hands? Are you a shinobi?"

"Yes I am a shinobi but I am not quite cold-hearted enough to disregard the death of those close to me. It seems if the village and even you will do nothing about it then I might have to take things into my own hands..."

"Fool!" shouted Washi's father as he grabbed onto Washi's arm and shoved him against the wall, "Do not be reckles. Remember who you are. You are a prodigy of Sunagakure born into the Oda clan. You are needed and you will NOT leave. WE NEED YOU FOR THE REVOLT!"

Washi pushed his father back and in a flicker appeared at the back of him with a kunai at his throat. Droplets of sweat appeared on the forehead's of both men.
"Do not get in my way, old fool. Surely you know by now that I am the better shinobi by far."

"Shunshin Washi..." His father relented and gave up hope as he said those words, "Washi, if your going to abandon the village remember to never come back again. For you will be hunted for your betrayal but remember as long as you wear those white robes you are an Oda and you will be safe at this house. I'm sure the Kazekage will turn the people's opinions on you. You will be turned into a criminal soon enough."

Washi left quickly, lying to the guards that he was going out for a walk. As he left the mighty gates of Sunagakure in the blazing sun he looked out towards the vast desert, heading for his destiny...intense emotions boiling up, emotions of guilt, revenge and shame.

He stepped onto the sand of the desert, and then arms...arms, monstrous arms pulled him down, down, down and down towards the depths.

"Washi...."
"Washi.."

Monsters...all of them....

Everything faded.

"ake......p..... mmit... up...... ake..... up....."

There was a sudden silence as these blurred and cut off words barley penetrated Hiza's mind after the memory was uncovered...

"..."

The words became louder: "ake.. up... up... UP... WAKE UP DAMMIT!!" Yelled Hyomaru's voice, snapping Hiza wide awake. Hyomaru wasnt sure if it was the yelling, or the slapping of the face that woke Hiza up. As Hiza woke up, Hyomaru appeared to be wiping off water from his pants and sandals. "What happened? after i adminstered the jutsu, you fell onto my feet and started drooling on them" demanded Hyomaru irratibly. "I slapped you continuous times before i punched you in the stomach"

Hizashi opened his eyes wide awaked. He was on Hyomaru's foot and his stomach was aching.

"I don't know.. Did you see the memo-" Hizashi said before his words got cut off.

"Quick!, Im getting another one..." Hizashi said as his voice became faint.

He fell backwards and was lying on the ground. The jutsu began to take effect and he could see something else Washi put in his mind...

Flash of light.

Rain.

Heavy rainfall and a strong wind that blustered the trees, swishing the branches with heavy force and blowing them apart. Rain that fell on Washi's temple, and his arm and his hands and even his naked chest. Even as the wind blew and the thunder roared, he stood still, out in the wild, eyes closed between two huge stumps of rock - deep imprints of his fist and knuckles etched on the surface.

"Doton: Domu!" shouted Washi above the fierce wind and the thunder, hardened by his training in the conditions.

He formed the handseals and in that instinct, both his fists turned a strange dark brown colour as he smashed both of his hands onto the two huge stumps of rock.

BAM.

Both huge stumps of rock cracked and shattered by the sheer force and power of Doton: Domu. He raised his arms once more and observed his fists as he dispelled the jutsu. No damage, no harm, not even a scratch or bruise. It was a jutsu that both protected him and also gave him super strength. To use it on his entire body was risky because it severely restricted movement in that particular area but to use it on the fists alone made him a powerful threat in close combat.

Suddenly, the tallest thing on the hill, higher than the trees and with the huge rock stumps broke. He was a target for the lightning charging above. There would be no time to react. He opened his eyes, aware of his situation and began a new set of handseals to prepare. He was right. The fierce lightning struck him.

Flash of light.

Blackness and darkness.

Eyes open.

The entire hill smouldering, and a crater around his body. Washi grinned.

Flash.
